JOB TITLE: Capacity Planning AnalystLOCATION: Foster City, CA (Hybrid; 3 days in office/week)PAY RANGE: $57 - $67/hr.DURATION: 6 MonthsTOP 3 SKILLS:2 4 years of experience in workforce planning, capacity planning, operations analytics, or similar rolesExperience working with WFM platforms such as NICE, UKG, Verint, or similar systemsExperience working with staffing, service levels, or operational throughput dataJob Description:We are building the future of autonomous transportation, and workforce planning is critical to delivering consistent, reliable operations at scale.As a Capacity Planning Analyst, you will support workforce adjustments and forward-looking capacity planning by translating demand signals and operational inputs into staffing plans using Workforce Management (WFM) tools such as NICE and UKG or similar systems.This role focuses on executing established planning processes. You will maintain planning assumptions, support workload forecasting, and help ensure staffing plans remain aligned to demand. Your work will contribute to scheduling accuracy, operational readiness, and effective staffing across Service and R&D environments.Key Responsibilities:Capacity Planning & Forecasting CycleSupport a weekly planning cycle to project staffing needs over a 6 8 week horizonReview recent performance trends to inform forward-looking assumptionsTranslate activity volumes and handling times into staffing requirementsSupport updates to forecasts based on demand changes, volume trends, and business inputsAssumptions Review & AlignmentSupport regular reviews with Operations teams to validate planning assumptions (e.g., attendance, attrition, workload drivers, task handling times)Perform capacity calculations based on agreed-upon assumptions and demand inputsMaintain and update assumptions within WFM tools (NICE/UKG, etc.) as directedDocument changes to assumptions to ensure consistency across planning cyclesWorkload Forecasting & Capacity CalculationMaintain and update inputs/assumptions within Workforce Management (WFM) tools to reflect demand and staffing requirementsConfigure and maintain system inputs used to generate staffing requirements and capacity outputsValidate capacity outputs generated against operational expectationsNear Real-Time Monitoring & AdjustmentsMonitor demand versus staffing and identify emerging gaps or risksTranslate short-term forecast changes into staffing adjustmentsEnsure updates are reflected and communicated to Scheduling and Operations teamsData Validation & Planning IntegrityValidate data across forecasts, capacity models, and WFM systemsPerform audits of rosters and schedule configuration to ensure alignment with capacity plans and assumptionsFollow established processes for updating staffing inputs and planning leversPlan Publication & Scheduling CoordinationPrepare and distribute weekly staffing and workload plans for a rolling planning horizonHighlight potential gaps, risks, or changes in expected capacitySupport communication and escalation of planning changes as neededEducation:Bachelor s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience:2 4 years of experience in workforce planning, capacity planning, operations analytics, or similar rolesExperience working with WFM platforms such as NICE, UKG, Verint, or similar systemsExperience working with staffing, service levels, or operational throughput dataSkills & Competencies:Workforce Planning & Forecasting: understanding of staffing drivers (demand, productivity, shrinkage, service levels)Ability to support forward-looking planning and in-cycle adjustmentsFamiliarity with NICE, UKG, or similar workforce management systemsUnderstanding of how staffing requirements and schedules are generated and adjustedProficiency in SQL and/or Excel/Google SheetsAbility to interpret trends and support data-informed decisionsStrong attention to detail and data accuracyAbility to operate in a fast-paced, near-real-time environmentExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a diverse, non-technical audienceBonus Qualifications:Experience in fleet operations, logistics, or contact center environmentsExposure to intraday or real-time workforce management conceptsExperience supporting 24/7 or multi-location operationsBENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
