Radiology Technologist With Charge ResponsibilitiesLocation: Portland, Oregon (Onsite)Job Type: Full-Time | Night ShiftThe Radiology Technologist with Charge Responsibilities will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while also taking on leadership duties during assigned shifts. This role includes managing workflow, supporting staff, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment.You will work within a collaborative care model focused on patient-centered, whole-person care at one of the leading healthcare systems in the Pacific Northwest.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform radiographic imaging procedures as per physician ordersEnsure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image qualityMaintain ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety standardsTake charge responsibilities including:Managing exam workflow and patient throughputCoordinating with multiple departmentsSupporting and training staffAddressing equipment and safety concernsUtilize clinical judgment to adapt imaging techniques based on patient needsEnsure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standardsMaintain accurate documentation and patient recordsRequired QualificationsEducation meeting certification/licensure requirementsOregon Radiographer License (or Temporary License) - Required upon hireARRT Certification - Required within 6 months of hireBLS Certification (American Heart Association) - Required upon hireNew graduates must obtain permanent licensure within 6 monthsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in a hospital radiology settingLeadership or charge experience (preferred but not mandatory)Strong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to handle high patient volumes and critical situations
