Assembler III - Sheet Metal Kitting - 2nd Shift A shop hourly position responsible for the accurate and timely kitting of sheet metal components and hardware in support of plant production lines. The Sheet Metal Kit Assembler 3 follows standard work instructions and ensures materials are properly staged to meet daily production requirements. This position models BAC's values of Customer Focus, Teamwork, Execution, Leading Change, and Collaboration.Principal AccountabilitiesPerform timely and accurate kitting of materials required to process jobs.Read and interpret Production Schedules, Fab Sheets, and related job paperwork.Verify part quantities and part numbers for accuracy prior to staging.Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and walkies.Identify kit shortages and report discrepancies to leadership.Accurately complete required paperwork or system transactions.Maintain 5S standards within the department.Meet daily production goals.Follow all safety requirements including proper use of PPE.Flex to other workstations as volume dictates.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge & SkillsCompetent in basic math including fractions and decimal conversions.Ability to use handheld measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, protractor).Ability to read blueprints and reference drawings (basic level).Basic computer skills for data entry and locating instructions.Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.Working ConditionsStanding and walking up to 80% of shift.Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.Exposure to manufacturing noise and temperature fluctuations.Any of three shifts; overtime as required.
