Job Description POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Position responsible for producing paper rolls and maintaining productivity from a variety of slitting machines (includes adjusting and making setups); Responsible for keeping equipment adjusted and maintained; Keeping equipment and area clean in designated work areaResponsible for maintaining records to include quality recordsPrepares orders based on appropriate import/export specifications; Enters data, tracks, gathers information and generates standard reportsAssure accurate completion of mill roll requisitions; Must make sure that the correct raw materials are being used; Responsible for filling out production report at the end of the jobSets up and maintains equipment; Ensures that equipments runs in accordance with operational standards; Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenanceEnsure the correct raw materials are being processed; Fill out various production reportsWeight lifted:Lower 0-25lbsModerate 26-100 lbsHigh over 100 lbsWeight repeatedly lifted per shift:Occasional 0-25 times per shiftModerate 26-100 times per shiftRepetitive 100-500 times per shiftWork environment involves repetitive lifting in the lower range and occasional lifting in the higher range;Exposure to electrical hazards, dust, moving machinery, noise, and odors;Goggles and earplugs may be requiredBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent0-2 years of related experienceMust be able to follow oral and written instructionsMust have good speed and manual dexterityMust be quality orientedAbility to trouble shoot, adjust, and repair equipmentGood math ability to include reading instruments in metric, thousands, and 1/64" incrementsAbility to work well as a team memberPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: May require certification to use work-area equipment2+ years of related experience Company DescriptionDomtar is a leading, privately held manufacturer of diversified forest products, with a workforce of roughly 14,000 employees in more than 60 locations across North America.
