Advisor Growth Consultant

About this OpportunityAs an Advisor Growth Consultant, you will represent Orion in its sales efforts to promote its managed account platform to Independent Financial Advisors and Registered Investment Advisors. This role works to increase sales within the region by further developing advisors with under $5 million AUM and increasing share of wallet.LocationThis is a territory‑based position covering MI, IN, and OH. The incumbent is expected to reside within or near the assigned territory and will travel regularly within that region to support business needs.Essential FunctionsExecute territory sales plans through virtual and in‑person strategies to drive increased sales of core and qualified plan assets, and ensure the retention of these assets to achieve sales goals.Represent Orion and its products to advisors knowledgeably, enabling them to clearly identify benefits of Orion products relative to competitors; cross‑sell products such as advisor studios as applicable.Travel to conferences in the region to identify new opportunities for the territory and other territories.Work closely with Senior Advisor Consultants to develop and execute a business plan that maximizes territorial sales.Log activity in Salesforce and keep the contact database up‑to‑date.Support the sales pipeline to meet agreed‑upon sales goals.Stay current on industry knowledge by reading publications.Strategize with and advise representatives in designing ideal business plans that result in retention and growth of current AUM.Capitalize on referrals to increase sales in territory and use channels efficiently to build relationships.Follow up with representatives after meetings to provide additional information, obtain feedback, and employ needs‑based selling techniques.Ensure receipt of excellent customer service and manage discretionary expenses within budget.Meet agreed‑upon sales activity goals and attend ongoing training.Maintain and update the contact database, including reports of competitor products.Attend conferences, roadshows, lunches, and Lunch‑and‑Learns virtually or in person.Partner with Marketing on campaigns, newsletters, and market reviews.QualificationsA bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.Minimum five years’ experience in a sales position selling financial services to Registered Representatives, TPAs, and similar professionals.Minimum two years’ experience building and maintaining a customer account base.Prior work experience in the financial planning industry (preferred).Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders and working effectively with people at all organization levels.Licensing RequirementsThis position requires a Series65 license, or both Series7 and66 licenses. If the required license(s) are not held at the time of hire, they must be obtained within 90 days of the start date.
