MARINE WELDER
Experienced Dredge WelderThe Welder supports the dredging and construction projects by supporting the Superintendent in the work and task of structural repairs of the dredges and all support equipment, the fabrication of new structures, and the welding of dredge pipe. This position requires travel.Essential functions (this is not all-inclusive):Upholds the Company's commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practicesFollows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and proceduresWorks safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPEEnsures team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policiesPerforms individualized specialized welding or cutting operations on materials, tools, and equipmentSupervises subordinate welders on project basisConducts on-site preventive maintenance and safety inspections of light and heavy marine equipment, writes reports on equipment condition, and recommends corrective actionMinimum qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentThree or more years of welding experience; dredging or construction experience a plusExcellent safety and mechanical skillsTrained in Lock/Out Tag Out Procedures, Fall Arrest, Confined Space and Ladder Safety (on-the-job training also provided in these areas)Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job DescriptionMust be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testingEncore Dredging Partners, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
