As a key player for this successful family owned business, the Proposal Specialist will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations for their client base. The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Generate and prepare comprehensive and accurate commercial quotations based on client specifications and requirements.Gain valuable knowledge or product/services offered through trainingAnalyze product and service costs, considering all factors for each specific projectCollaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary information for precise quotations.Work closely with sales representatives to understand customer needs and negotiate pricing terms to meet both customer expectations and company profitability goals.Provide support in crafting competitive pricing strategies to secure business opportunities.Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all quotations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference.Collaborate to streamline documentation processes and maintain an efficient filing system.Stay informed about market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and industry developments to ensure our quotations remain competitive and aligned with market standards.Interact with customers to clarify requirements, address inquiries, and provide additional information related to quotations.Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and responsiveness.Qualifications/Skillset:Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial manufacturing or industrial setting.Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed pricing decisions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external clients.Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quotations and pricing.Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.Proficient in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software for quotation preparation.
