The MissionFlying a drone shouldn’t pull an operator's eyes from the mission around them. Odin Autonomy keeps military and public safety operators focused, mobile, and engaged in their environment by turning any drone into a collaborative teammate. Its software, the Odin Terminal, transforms aircraft with AI that learns, adapts, and supports decision-making in real time. Built for operators (by operators), it's the only AI-enabled platform offering intuitive vehicle control, which simplifies operations, reduces costs, and saves lives. The ease of use greatly reduces training and staffing requirements, while providing scalable capability without significant infrastructure investment. We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer who excels at bridging the gap between high-level cloud interfaces and robust, low-latency local network architectures. If you enjoy the challenge of ensuring a drone fleet remains unified and responsive even when disconnected from the broader internet, you’re in the right place. The RoleYour primary mission will be to lead the continued design and implementation of the software architecture that connects and unifies diverse drone systems. While this is a full-stack role, your primary focus be on Network System Architecture. This role requires on-site work in Boulder, Colorado. You will be responsible for:Architecting Hybrid Systems: Designing seamless data flow between cloud-based management tools and localized, on-site network controllers.Unified Communication: Developing protocols and APIs that allow disparate drone hardware to easily communicate.Edge Reliability: Building backend services optimized for local network environments where high uptime and low latency are non-negotiable.User Touchpoints: Integrating the backend systems into our frontend user touchpoints, including touchpads, heads-up displays, and other wearable devices.Requirements:Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience OR A Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) plus 2+ years of professional experience.Architectural Mindset: Proven ability to define and implement complex backend systems from the ground up.Networking Pro: Deep understanding of local network protocols, data synchronization, and distributed systems.Full Stack Fluency: Proficiency in modern backend languages (e.g., C++, Python) and frontend frameworks (e.g., React).Work Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position at this time.Bonus Points (Nice to Haves)Experience working directly with Robotic Systems.Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) at the edge.Experience with cloud deployment.Operational experience training, developing, or deploying technology in challenging environments.Proficiency with networking/cybersecurity tools like Wireshark and Nmap.Familiarity with the Zenoh network protocol. Why Odin Autonomy?Working at Odin Autonomy offers a rare opportunity to build a human-centered autonomous systems stack where artificial intelligence is designed to be a collaborative teammate rather than a replacement for the operator. Our core mission is to protect our communities by providing first responders and military personnel with the strategic advantage of command without the crushing cognitive load of manual robotic operation. By joining our Boulder-based team, you will contribute to an innovative technology paradigm that replaces rigid mission plans with intuitive AI that learns and adapts to real-world incident contexts. Your work will directly empower those on the front lines—from local search and rescue teams in Colorado to tactical units in contested environments—ensuring they stay focused, mobile, and safe while using the most advanced aerospace technology available.Apply today to help us define the future of robotic control.Compensation: $65,000 – $100,000 + Significant Equity. At Odin, we prioritize long-term value creation. You aren't just an employee; you’re an owner.
