Social Media Assistant (Seasonal, Part-Time)

The 3-time WNBA Champions Los Angeles Sparks are growing! We are seeking a Social Media Assistant (Seasonal, Part-Time), who will be responsible for supporting the Sparks digital strategy, content creation, and related graphic design efforts on a variety of projects across all digital and social media platforms. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for women's sports and creating content! This position will work under the direction of the Sr Manager of Social. This is a non-exempt, seasonal part-time role at $22/hrly for the duration of the 2026 WNBA season.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create content and assist with the day-to-day management of Sparks social accountsOptimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timingCollaborate with internal teams to develop and manage weekly social publishing calendarsAssist with live coverage/content of all home games and community events on social platformsResearch trends for social media use; Monitor trends and analytics across platforms to pitch platform-specific content ideasOther projects and duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Have knowledge and basic understanding of WNBA team for social media use and analytics to inform content decisionsAbility to create and publish content on social media platforms in a timely mannerMust be organized with great attention to detailsStrong communication skills and ability to execute feedback when givenTeam player who can work collaborativelyComfortable with performing in a fast-paced environmentMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent education and experience preferred1-2+ years of experience in digital / social content creation or productionKnowledge of all social media platforms, basketball, and video-editing software is a mustExperience managing professional social media accountsKnowledgeable about WNBA players and teams; experience in professional sports is a plusWORKING CONDITIONS:Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredAbility to work on-site for Sparks home games and eventsThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.
