This new role is on-site and will provide comprehensive HR services to a diverse workforce of regular and temporary employees, playing a key part in driving HR initiatives that align with organizational goals. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of functions, including employee relations, talent and staffing management, compliance with employment laws, and supporting talent management processes. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a solid understanding of HR practices and regulations to help maintain a positive workplace culture.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESEmployee Relations & SupportProvide day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesPartner with leadership to foster a positive work environment that aligns with company culture and valuesServe as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing workplace concerns, resolving conflicts by conducting workplace investigations, and ensuring fairness in all interactionsTalent & StaffingManage the Temporary Staffing agency and partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive recruiting strategiesCreate engaging and visually appealing job advertisements for manufacturing positions, tailored for both job postings and social media platformsConduct new hire orientation sessions and ensure a smooth and effective onboarding experience for all new employeesCoordinate the application process for internal opportunities / movement within the organizationSupport company-wide projects aimed at strengthening employee recruitment and retention initiativesPerformance ManagementCoordinate and track the employee performance review process, including probationary and annual evaluationsCollaborate with managers to implement performance management processes, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plansIdentify training needs by consulting with managers and coordinate employee training programs, such as leadership development, safety training, and compliance workshopsSupport career development initiatives by promoting available learning opportunities and programsTrack succession planning and training initiatives, including work-based learning, apprenticeships and skill acknowledgment programsPlant & Community EngagementSupport positive employee engagement and retention initiatives, including developing and coordinating company events, recognition programs, appreciation activities and surveysCollect and analyze employee feedback to recommend improvements in engagement and retention strategiesGeneral HR Support & ComplianceAdminister and manage employee leave programs, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term disability, Workers’ Comp, etcParticipate in production meetings and contribute HR insights to plant leadershipSupport hearing tests, safety initiatives, and other compliance-related plant programsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and proceduresMaintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirementsProcess employee terminations, including exit interviews, final pay coordination, and proper documentationServe as the Payroll backup, using ADP Workforce Manager/Workforce NowProvide project support to our other manufacturing locationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience preferred2+ years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentSHRM certification preferredADP Workforce systems experience is helpfulStrong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner with othersStrong attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyDriven to perform at a high level, taking initiative and applying personal dedication to achieve the best possible resultsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentPrimex offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary with both quarterly and annual bonus opportunities.
