REGIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN - HYBRID
The candidate must reside within the following county(s) within Region 8: Bexar, Kerr, Bandera, Gillespie, Kendall, Comal, Guadalupe, Frio, La Salle, Atascosa, Wilson, Karnes, Victoria, De Witt, Lavaca, Calhoun, Jackson, Val Verde, Edwards, Real, Kinney, Uvalde, Medina, Maverick, Zavala and Dimmit County.
PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILTY
The Community Enrichment Administrative Technician supports Regional Directors and Community Liaisons with administrative tasks and coordination efforts that enhance child and family well-being initiatives. This role plays a vital part in promoting community collaboration, assisting with event coordination, and supporting outreach and engagement strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain knowledge of Community Based Care and transformative practices within the child and family wellbeing system.
Provide administrative support for the Community Enrichment Department, including scheduling, correspondence, and documentation.
Assist with planning, organizing, and executing community events, youth and family programs, and resource distribution efforts.
Maintain databases, contact lists, calendars, and reports related to community initiatives and stakeholder communications.
Support the implementation of the Community Building Plan through logistical coordination and document preparation.
Assist in managing communications with local partners including community organizations, advocacy centers, public agencies, and civic groups.
Coordinate outreach materials and prepare promotional or informational content for community distribution.
Support documentation of program budgets, expense tracking, and supply purchasing under supervision.
Uphold ethical data handling practices and maintain confidentiality in all administrative responsibilities.
Promote respect for cultural diversity and inclusion in all community interactions and communications.
Participate in community-based initiatives as needed, sometimes outside of regular business hours.
Create an atmosphere of enthusiasm, commitment, teamwork, interdependence and ethical behavior.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ensuring confidentiality, ethical data handling, and responsible information sharing in alignment with organizational policies and community trust.
Working with various computer systems such as Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Canva and other related software
Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Community Enrichment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Associate degree from an accredited college of university
Experience working in the Child and Family Well-being System
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software with proficiency in Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social services or business management fields.
Minimum 2 year of experience in an administrative or support role
Experience with Canva
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
Valid Texas Driver's License, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.
Minimum age of 21 years per licensing standards.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION
Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, walk and walk briskly in order to interact with and monitor children.
Stamina to work long days and drive long distances.
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 60 pounds.
Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Environment requires dexterity to remain calm and adapt to fast paced and emotional environments consisting of children with moderate to severe emotional and psychological needs.
Home-like settings with varying moderate to high degrees of background noise.
Campuses are smoke-free, except on permitted campuses in designated areas.
Possible injury when lifting or moving if employee fails to use proper body mechanics, or if proper techniques are not used.
