Fire Alarm Installer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing quality inspections, routine testing, and preventative maintenance of SimplexGrinnell life safety product lines as well as similar competitive systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to meet customer expectations while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems Operate hand tools and equipment safely and effectively Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds Work on lifts and ladders to install and maintain systems Identify additional products or services that may benefit customers Work with low-voltage devices for system operations Complete service requests with proper coding through communication devices Maintain a structured inspection schedule and complete assigned inspections on time Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation via laptop systems Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Experience with hand tools and technical equipment Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders/lifts Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Good communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications (if any) Prior experience in fire alarm installation or related fiel d Certifications (if any) NICET certification (preferred, not required) Education: High School
