L2/L3 Run Engineer – Java / Spring / DevOps (with Angular)📍 Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid Schedule, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)💼 Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Extension Likely)💲 Pay Rate: $50–$55/hourAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a skilled L2/L3 Run Engineer to support and maintain production environments for Java/Spring-based applications. This role focuses on incident management, system reliability, and DevOps collaboration to ensure high availability and performance across critical systems.You’ll work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to troubleshoot issues, manage deployments, and continuously improve operational processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L3 production support for Java/Spring applications, including incident resolution and root cause analysisParticipate in on-call rotations and respond to production issues within SLAsTroubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues across the stackSupport CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release processesManage and troubleshoot Kubernetes (k8s) environments (pods, deployments, services, ingress, etc.)Support Docker/container lifecycle managementMonitor system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, SplunkPartner with development teams to resolve defects and improve system reliabilityMaintain runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Contribute to automation and operational improvementsProvide basic troubleshooting support for Angular-based front-end componentsRequired QualificationsStrong experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot, MVC, Data)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environmentsSolid DevOps experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Bamboo, ArgoCD) and DockerExperience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk)Proven ability in production support, incident management, and RCABasic understanding of AngularStrong communication skills and ability to perform under pressureWillingness to participate in on-call rotationsNice to HaveExperience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd)Background in SRE or L3 production support rolesEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)What We’re Looking ForStrong problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressureCollaborative team player with excellent communication skillsProactive approach to continuous improvement and automation
