Electrician

AMS Renewable Energy is seeking experienced Electricians for solar construction projects in Upstate New York. This role is ideal for a reliable, hands-on electrician who is comfortable working in the field, understands construction schedules, and can support the electrical installation of commercial and utility-scale solar projects.The position requires travel to project sites in Upstate New York. Housing will be paid for by AMS for qualified candidates working away from home.ResponsibilitiesInstall, terminate, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for solar PV projectsSupport DC and AC electrical installation, including conduit, wire pulls, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, panels, and related balance-of-system equipmentRead and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, construction plans, and specificationsPerform work in accordance with NEC, project drawings, utility requirements, and AMS safety standardsSupport underground, above-ground, and equipment pad electrical installationsCoordinate with site supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and other tradesAssist with testing, commissioning, punch list completion, and system turnoverMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirementsQualificationsPrior experience as an electrician on commercial, industrial, renewable energy, or utility-scale construction projectsSolar PV experience preferredAbility to read electrical drawings and follow field installation detailsStrong understanding of conduit, wire management, terminations, grounding, and electrical safety practicesValid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferredAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsWillingness to travel to project sites in Upstate New YorkMust be dependable, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced construction environmentCompensation and Benefits$80 - $100 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsHousing paid for by AMS for eligible traveling employeesOpportunity to work on large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projectsLong-term project opportunities available for the right candidatesAbout AMS Renewable EnergyAMS Renewable Energy is a national solar EPC delivering commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar and storage projects across the United States.
