Serving freight and tank car fleets across multiple industries, we are committed to safety, compliance, quality, and reliable service.The Field Operations QA/Write-Up Inspector supports safe, compliant, and efficient railcar repair operations by conducting inspections, preparing accurate repair documentation, and ensuring adherence to AAR/FRA regulatory standards. This role provides critical quality, administrative, and compliance support to mobile and mini-shop field operations.This position works closely with supervisors, technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure repair documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely billing.Conducts incoming, in-process, and final railcar inspections to ensure compliance with AAR/FRA regulations and company quality standards.Prepares accurate railcar write-ups and repair documentation to support field operations and invoicing.Creates and verifies Billing Repair Cards (BRCs) to ensure accurate customer billing and reporting.Maintains control of repair documentation, procedures, drawings, and regulatory records.Identifies railcar components, valves, fittings, and required materials to support repair activities.Communicates inspection results and documentation details with supervisors, technicians, customers, and vendors.General RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.23 years of experience in railcar repair, inspection, or related administrative support preferred.Strong knowledge of AAR/FRA rules and regulations preferred.Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documents, forms, and repair procedures.Proficiency with computers and basic office equipment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, supervisors, and internal teams.Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Physical RequirementsAbility to traverse repair shops, rail yards, and field service environments.Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and work at heights during inspections.Ability to work in confined spaces when required.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.Prolonged periods of desk and computer work may be required.Ability to work extended hours as business needs require.Why Join Our Team?
