Apprentice Service Technician

Chapman Ford of Horsham is looking for an Apprentice Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have appropriate training and willingness to learn. You'll be working underneath a mentor, learning the day-to-day of a senior level service technician. Two options:Receive a $5000 set of toolsReceive reimbursement for tools up to $1000 at year for 4 years (paid annually.)ResponsibilitiesWork underneath a senior technician as your mentorPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent trainingTrade School or mechanical proficiency requiredPrevious experience in automotive repair is preferredExcellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentTeammate with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving recordLocationMust be able to commute to 1100 Easton Road, Horsham, PA 19044We will not pay for relocation
