Hardware & Embedded Systems Validation EngineerDepartment: Hardware & Engineering | Work Mode: On-Site (In-Office Daily) | Position Type: Full-Time ( 0-1 Years Experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking an active and hands-on Hardware & Embedded Systems Validation Engineer (1+ yearsof experience) for an in-office, daily presence role. In this position, you will execute provided test plans and author robust new test cases across custom hardware, firmware, and mobile applications—focusing specifically on delivering an exceptional end-user experience for our US customer base.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Execution of Test Cases & App TestingExecute provided test cases covering hardware board bring-up, embedded firmware, and companion mobile applications (iOS/Android).Perform functional, power, and environmental testing (temperature, humidity, drop, vibration) on prototype and production hardware. Log bugs, collect system traces, device logs, and RF measurement data for design and engineering teams.2. Test Case Creation & US Customer Experience (CX) FocusIndependently design, author, and expand test cases for new features across hardware, firmware, and mobile app interactions. Develop real-world, customer-focused test scenarios tailored specifically to US customer expectations (e.g.,seamless Bluetooth pairing, intuitive mobile app onboarding, clear status displays, and smooth recovery handling).3. Hardware, Wireless & Lab ValidationConduct bench-top testing for analog, digital, RF, and power circuits using standard lab equipment.Validate wireless connectivity protocols: 4G LTE Cat-M1, GNSS (GPS), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, Thread, and Satellite messaging. Measure current consumption and evaluate battery performance across diverse operational states.4. Hardware Debugging & PCB ReworkTroubleshoot hardware failures, assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and investigate customer returns (RMA). Perform hands-on component-level soldering, de-soldering, and PCB rework (SMT and through-hole) on prototype boards.5. On-Site Operations & Remote Field TestingWork daily on-site in the office lab to maintain direct access to testing rigs and prototype hardware.Travel to open-sky and rural field locations to perform real-world testing for satellite, GPS, and cellular coverage.Be flexible to conduct field or lab testing during early mornings, evenings, overnights, or weekends as required. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSLab Equipment: DMM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Logic Analyzer.Hands-On Rework: Soldering & de-soldering (SMT/Through-Hole).Protocols: LTE Cat-M1, GNSS, BLE, Wi-Fi, Thread, Satellite.App & FW Testing: Embedded firmware & mobile app test execution/authoring.Scripting & Tools: Python automation scripting; MS Office for reporting.Work Setup: Full-time in-office presence with travel within US for field testing.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a relatedfield. 1+ years of hands-on experience in hardware, embedded systems, or mobile application testing. Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week.
