As we continue to expand our portfolio of energy projects, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Asset Management Associate to join our dynamic team.RWE Americas Asset Management team takes accountability for the commercial success of a >12 GW portfolio of renewable energy assets. Through the close collaboration with Operations & Maintenance and various Financial stakeholders the team drives tactical and strategic initiatives optimizing the performance of all assets.Role Responsibilities:The Sr. Associate will assist the Asset Manager in driving the profitability of wind, solar, and battery storage assets, by analyzing operational and financial performance and identifying the causes for underperformanceThe Sr. Associate will also support the development, and execution of cost-reduction or performance optimization strategiesAsset Performance Optimization: Monitor asset KPIs and perform perform trend analysis to detect performance issues, investigate underperformance, and develop and implement strategies to maximize the operational performance of renewable energy assets; manage technical issues to ensure strategies are fully analyzed, and appropriate solutions developed and implementedFinancial Management: Assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and asset-level financials to identifiy opportunities and riskContract Management: Manage select vendor/service provider relationships and assist in contract alignment reviewsReporting: Provide detailed reporting and insights to internal stakeholders on operational and financial performanceRegulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations (i.e., local, state, and federal, including environmental permits) and internal governance processesProcess Improvements: Implement and continuously improve local asset management systems and processes consistent with organizational policies and standardsCross Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across departments to resolve asset-level issues, communicate clearly with cross-functional parteners, presents findings in meetings with Asset Manager supervision. Establish collaborative relationships with key support departments such as Operations, Engineering, HSSE, Procurement, and ControllingJob Requirements and Experiences:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field and/or 2 additional years of comparable work experience; Master's degree or professional certification is a plusMinimum 3 years experience in the renewable energy sectorAsset Management, Operations, or Controlling experience is highly desirableExperience in asset management and/or technical expertise in the renewable energy industryFamiliarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (esp. ERCOT)Applies operational, financial, and contractual knowledge to drive asset performanceUnderstands key KPIs and data resourcesInvestigates root causes of asset issues using trend analysisRecommends standard corrective actionsCoorrdinates across departments to resolve asset-level issuesPresents findings in meetings with moderate supervisionOwns performance tracking for a set of assets or regionStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsStrong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into commercial implicationsStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables, and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal/external relationshipsExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsDetail-oriented and has a sound understanding of business conceptsApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
