Serving the entire state of Michigan including Wixom, Zeeland, Gaylord and Marquette with 24/7 emergency service.What You’ll DoPerform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of generators during normal working hours and after hoursDetect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely mannerStays current on NFPA and State regulations for EPSSTravel around local area for service calls, on-call rotation with 50% travel (25% overnight)What You’ll BringHigh School Diploma or equivalent4 years servicing and troubleshooting emergency power supply systems (EPSS)Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagramsAdvanced knowledge of Engine maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas or diesel fuel systems.Valid driver's licenseBring your generator experience—Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Katolight, or Briggs & StrattonPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to discern color.
