Work environment: Mostly remote, onsite days will be used for meetings with leads and architects Will have to be onsite 1 time a week in Chicago, IL Typical task breakdown: Designing data models for relational and non-relational databases Developing and fine-tuning SQL queries to implement business requirements Documenting data models Developing scripts to interact with data Interaction with team: Will work closely with multiple development teams to support their business needs. Working with a team of 3 people. Education & Experience Required: B. S in IT related studies (IT, computer science, data science) Plus 10+ years overall exp Technical Skills (Required): 5+ years developing Relational data models 5+ years developing non-relational data models 5+ years experience working with SQL - Ability to create and debug complex SQL queries 3+ years of developing applications using any object-oriented language (Python, Java, Scala etc) 1+ years working in AWS environment Ability to create complex Data Models using modeling tools (ERWin preferred) 3+ years experience with complex JSON structures Basic knowledge of API’s and ability to create swagger Technical Skills (Desired): Ability to create dashboards using BI tools 1+ years of Java experience Working knowledge of Snowflake and Dynamo DB Data Science experience Soft Skills (Required): Ability to communicate at a high level.
