School Maintenance part-time flexible
Learning Prep School in Newton, MA is hiring a School Maintenance Worker on a part-time basis to supplement our current Facilities Team.
This position would require and allow for day-to-day flexibility on hours and will require weekend and/or evening work as needed.
Our students have complex learning profiles, and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve delivered through the best practices of language-based instruction. While we are not a therapeutic setting or a program for students with significant behavioral support needs, we do offer speech and language, occupational therapy, and counseling services as part of our delivery model.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma (Vocational School preferred)
Must pass CORI and fingerprinting background check
Experience in facilities maintenance in a school setting preferred
Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, work with standard cleaning materials and equipment, and bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch to perform work.
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Job Goal: To provide general maintenance and custodial services to ensure that our school facilities are a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the general public.
Responsibilities:
Must demonstrate safe work habits, including proper care, use, and safety of all hazardous materials, chemical, and equipment
Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to physically lift, move, and carry various items as required
Fulfils responsibilities for the cleaning and care of the interior and exterior of the facilities
Complete work tickets as assigned
Report any safety concerns or faulty equipment immediately to the Facilities Manager in writing
Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
