School Maintenance part-time flexible

Learning Prep School in Newton, MA is hiring a School Maintenance Worker on a part-time basis to supplement our current Facilities Team. This position would require and allow for day-to-day flexibility on hours and will require weekend and/or evening work as needed. Our students have complex learning profiles, and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve delivered through the best practices of language-based instruction. While we are not a therapeutic setting or a program for students with significant behavioral support needs, we do offer speech and language, occupational therapy, and counseling services as part of our delivery model. Qualifications: High School Diploma (Vocational School preferred) Must pass CORI and fingerprinting background check Experience in facilities maintenance in a school setting preferred Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, work with standard cleaning materials and equipment, and bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch to perform work. Reports to: Facilities Manager Job Goal: To provide general maintenance and custodial services to ensure that our school facilities are a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the general public.
