Reconciles bank transactions within the MUSC Foundation checking accounts on a daily basis. Investigates and resolves discrepancies between bank statements and general ledger balances.25% - Investment Reviews and reconciles investment accounts including both the long-term and short-term pools along with planned gift portfolios. Performs all appropriate reviews of transactions codes used for tracking investment balances and other activity to ensure completeness of records. Responsible for generating, monitoring, updating, and ensuring accuracy of monthly allocations of investment activity across approximately 1,700 projects. Records investment-related transactions, including purchases, sales, income, and valuation adjustments. Maintains investment schedules and investment audit schedules.15% - Real Estate Records and reconciles real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, rents, and related expenses. Maintains detailed supporting schedules for real estate assets and related liabilities. Maintains and updates the Fixed Asset System which includes generating monthly depreciation journal entries and maintaining schedules. Provides quarterly cash flow analysis for rental activities. Calculates and records derivative activities associated with interest rate swapsPrepares audit schedules for real estate.15% - Accounting Support Reconciles asset and liability accounts. Follows and updates standard operating procedures. Coordinates with Finance Director to prepare all journal entries associated with daily, monthly, and quarterly money transfers associated with treasury management. Provides audit assistance.10% - Other Duties/Special Projects Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Provides back-up to other staff accountants.
