Special Security Officer (SSO) MAG Aerospace is seeking to hire a Special Security Officer (SSO) which will provide technical support to the Navy Cyber Warfare Developmental Group (NCWDG). The place of performance for this position is split between Annapolis Junction, MD and Suitland, MD, with Annapolis Junction being the primary place of work. Must Be A US Citizen CURRENT ACTIVE DoD Top Secret Clearance Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist SSO with security processes and procedures to include perimeter security, access control and intrusion detection systemsProcess paperwork and manage Program Access Requests (PAR)Conduct destruction of classified material and provide accountability of all documents and data transfers.The following courses must be completed during the period of performance:ICD 704 Personnel Security CourseICD 705 Physical Security CourseSpecial Security Officer Course (SSOC)SCI Overview SeminarEstablishing & Operating an Insider Threat ProgramRequirements ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience working in an administrative role in a security environmentKnowledgeable of OPSEC, personnel industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security principalsPossess a keen knowledge of Government and Industrial Security regulations and contractor clearancesPossess proficiency with the Federal Government security databasesPossess experience with processing visit certificationsPossess experience with maintaining security holdingMust have solid knowledge in the use of MS Office softwareExperience with PAR in the JADE systemExperience in Special Access Program (SAP) environmentsEducationHigh School diploma or GEDOther RequirementsCURRENT ACTIVE DoD Top Secret ClearancePossess eligibility for access to be upgraded to a TS/SCI in the NEAR future upon hire - (ALL HIRES WILL MAINTAIN AN SCI - MAG Will Upgrade your TS to TS/SCI - IF YOU POSSES THE BACKGROUND TO BE UPGRADED)Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination in the futurePossess an investigation that is current within 6 years.Personnel who are enrolled in CE will also be eligibleThe position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
