Manufacturing Engineer – Aero Engine Components
Roles & ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to ensure manufacturability and complianceDevelop and maintain manufacturing process plans including operations, tooling, parameters, and inspection stagesCreate and integrate inspection plans aligned with process flow, FAIR/LAIR, and PPAP requirementsProvide shop floor engineering support to ensure correct execution and resolve process-related issuesEnsure compliance with process specifications, standards, and audit requirementsSupport aero engine component manufacturing including machining, assembly, and special processesDevelop and maintain Technical Instructions (TI) and Work Instructions (WI) for production useSupport APQP/PPAP deliverables including process flow, PFMEA, control plan, and capability dataAssist in FAIR/LAIR preparation, review, and closure of observationsDevelop PFMEA and Control Plans to manage process risks and drive preventive actionsCreate dimensional matrices and support electronic data capture for process controlSupport measurement system definition and correct use of inspection toolsConduct Cp/Cpk studies and drive process improvement using data analysisCollaborate with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and improve performanceRequired Technical / Functional SkillsStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&TExperience in process planning and inspection planning for manufacturing environmentsHands-on shop floor experience in manufacturing execution and troubleshootingKnowledge of aero engine manufacturing methods (machining, fabrication, assembly, special processes)Experience in creating Technical Instructions (TI) and Work Instructions (WI)Experience in FAIR/LAIR preparation and review as per AS9102 Rev CExperience in APQP/PPAP activities as per AS9145Knowledge of QMS requirements as per AS13100Experience in PFMEA, Control Plan, and risk-based process controlAbility to define inspection methods and use basic inspection instrumentsExperience in dimensional characteristic matrices and electronic data capture (EDC)Process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk) using MinitabExposure to external supply chain / supplier support activities
