Their mission is to help individuals achieve a higher quality of life and long-term well-being.Position Title: Staff AccountantDepartment: Business OfficeReports To: CFOFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring timely, accurate financial processing across multiple divisions, including agency operations, foundation activities, medical clinic, and pharmacy functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableSet up and maintain vendor recordsReview vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesMatch invoices to purchase orders and assign GL codesEnter invoices for payment processingPrepare and distribute checks/paymentsResearch unpaid or partially paid invoicesProcess foster care room and board vouchersComplete annual 1099 processingPrepare documentation for annual auditFixed AssetsAdd and maintain fixed asset recordsProcess monthly depreciation entriesTrack disposals/retirementsMaintain construction-in-progress schedulesComplete annual fixed asset inventoryPurchasing Card AdministrationOrder/cancel cards as neededTrain managers on coding and usage systemsMonitor balances and approved limitsEnsure timely receipt collection and codingPrepare monthly reportsCash/Banking/OtherReconcile petty cash accountsPrepare multiple weekly depositsCoordinate deposits received from clinics/programsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related disciplineMinimum two years of accounting experienceKnowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and reportingAbility to analyze data and solve practical problemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential financial informationPreferred Candidate ProfileThe strongest applicants will be dependable professionals who thrive in structured environments, catch mistakes before others do, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their work.
