Job Description Accounting Team MemberLone Star Management / Jake's FireworksLocation: Corporate Headquarters – Pittsburg, KansasPay Rate: $15.00 per hourSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMTravel: Occasional travel required during peak business seasonPosition SummaryLone Star Management and Jake's Fireworks are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Team Member to join our Corporate Accounting Department at our Pittsburg, Kansas headquarters.This position supports daily accounting operations across multiple company divisions and locations nationwide. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during seasonal peak operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsEnter invoices, expenses, and financial data into accounting systemsAssist with account reconciliations and financial record maintenanceReview purchase orders, vendor statements, and billing documentationSupport payroll and expense reporting processes as assignedMaintain organized financial files and documentationAssist with month-end and year-end accounting proceduresCommunicate with vendors, managers, and internal departments regarding accounting mattersProvide administrative and clerical support to the accounting teamTravel periodically to company locations during busy season to assist with financial operationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or coursework in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferredPrior accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systemsAbility to handle confidential financial information responsiblyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel occasionally during peak seasonWork EnvironmentOffice setting located at Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburg, KansasStandard business hours with increased workload during seasonal operationsCollaborative team environment supporting multiple business divisions nationwideBenefits (if applicable)Medical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Retirement PlanOpportunities for growth within Lone Star Management and Jake's FireworksAbout UsLone Star Management and Jake's Fireworks operate multiple distribution centers and retail locations across the United States.
