Head Start Cook II
Responsible for purchasing necessary supplies and preparing meals for children in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Follow up and monitor food allergies/dietary conditions of children and prepare food accordingly.
Complete all paperwork according to the Purchase and Production Manual, CACFP guidelines and USDA guidelines.
Maintain a safe and sanitary environment according to all guidelines.
Facilitate nutrition activities with children and role model appropriate mealtime behaviors.
Recruit, train and arrange for qualified substitute when absent. Recruit and train kitchen volunteers.
This is a full-time, up to 35 hrs./wk., and up to 41 wks./yr. position.
