Summer Camp Staff

Location: Starwoods Girl Scout Center, Clearwater, KSFollowing positions availableCamp CounselorsLife Guards*Camp Junior Counselors (must be rising 12 th Grader and at least 16 years of age with previous camp experience)________________________________________________________________Girl Scouts Vision & Mission Girl Scouts is a non-partisan, inclusive organization. We are the world's preeminent leadership development organization for girls, building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. ___________________________________________________________________Essential Job Functions:Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers in their camper group within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers within the mission and outcomes.Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.Represent the camp when interacting with parents or community members.Other Job Duties:Provide supervision for campers while campers are transported to and from camp or during scheduled field trips off camp property.Contribute to verbal and written evaluations and communication as requested.Willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering programs in the available facilities.Operate with daily exposure to various weather conditions.Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age* (unless applying for Junior Counselor Position) and a high school graduate.Must be able to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR.Complete provided Girl Scout Leadership training.Must be able to walk on uneven ground.Must be able to push and/or pull 25lbs.Must be able to lift 25lbs.Must be able to work in outdoor climate.Ability to interact with all age levels.Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner.Must pass criminal background screen and drug test.
