Job Title: Clerk, Campus Wage/Hour Status: NonexemptReports to: Administrator Designated Pay Grade: AO2, AO3, AO5Length of Contract: 10, 10.5, 12 mos.Dept./School: Assigned Department/Campus Date Revised: January 22, 2019Primary PurposeUnder direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the assigned office.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/SkillsProficient keyboarding skillsEffective organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow written instructionsAbility to operate multi-line phone systemExperienceTwo years clerical experience in office settingMajor Responsibilities And DutiesReception and PhonesReceive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.Greet and direct visitors to assigned area.Assist public, staff, and students as needed.Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.OtherPrepare mailing and labels using personal computer.Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists.Sort, distribute, or deliver mail, messages, and other documents.Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.Provide clerical assistance as needed.Maintain confidentiality.General Employee Requirements:Support and align work with the mission, vision, and beliefs of the district.Follow and support board policies in areas of related responsibility.Ensure district resources are managed effectively to maximize resources for student learning.Share in the development and implementation of district success plans.Actively participate in ongoing development to improve work quality and district contribution.Model integrity, work ethic, and professionalism as a suitable example for LISD students.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.Equipment UsedMulti-line phone system, personal computer.Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions.
