Project Manager, BDOADVANTAGEThe Project Manager, BDOADVANTAGE will be an integral team member, primarily focusing on managing technology development projects. While the Product Owner will oversee the technology product, the Manager will ensure the project's overall success from initiation to closure, by ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and a clear understanding of both waterfall and agile development methodologies, allowing for a flexible and effective approach to project delivery. The Project Manager will coordinate with the product management team, software developers and deployment teams to create and implement project plans to assist and guide technology solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.Job Duties:Leads the project planning and implementation of project plans of technology development projects within the BDOADVANTAGE portfolioWorks closely with the Product and Project Owners to ensure project alignment with product objectives and company goals are being met in accordance with agreed upon project plansApplies project management practices across related initiatives, managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple projects beyond discrete technology effortsUtilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating elements of both waterfall and agile methodologies, to effectively manage project timelines, scope, and resourcesReviews and analyzes project financials and budget to actual projectionsEmploys project management tools and software to track project progress, manage resources, and communicate status updates to stakeholdersFacilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverablesIdentifies and manages project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project successEnsures project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycleConducts post-project evaluations to capture learnings and improve future project management practicesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Acts as a direct supervisor to team members, as assignedActs as a mentor, as assignedQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Business, Project/Program Management, or Information Technology, preferredExperience:Six (6) years of experience serving as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects and software development lifecycle, requiredExperience working with and mentoring distributed/remote teams, requiredExperience working in audit, assurance or accounting professional services industry, preferredLicense/Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified, preferredScrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferredSoftware:Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferredProficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, preferredLanguage(s):N/AOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:High level of curiosity and eagerness to learnAbility to think critically to solve problemsDemonstrates attention to detail while also understanding the big pictureAbility to work effectively in a team settingPositive attitude and willingness to take on challenging assignmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsExcellent facilitation skillsStrong knowledge of project management principlesStrong knowledge of software development lifecycleStrong organizational skills, specifically the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsStrong leadership skillsStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-motivated and disciplined person that is passionate about collaborating and coaching othersAbility to successfully interact with professionals and stakeholders at all levelsIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $125,000 - $155,000 Maryland Range: $125,000 - $155,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $155,000
