Asset Management Associate

RETS Associates is representing a prestigious real estate private equity firm, seeking a talented Asset Management Associate to join their commercial real estate team in New York, NY. The primary responsibilities of the role will be financial modeling and analysis of the investments made by the Fund. The analyst will work directly as an investment team member within the Real Estate Group and have direct contact with Managing Directors, Principals, Vice Presidents and Senior Associates. Main responsibilities include: Maintaining investment level Excel models to capture complex capital structure and waterfall calculations; Creating sensitivity models for strategic initiatives and provide concise results; Participating in operational, development and leasing calls to drive the strategy of the investment; Updating quarterly investor communications and reporting; Managing ownership documentation including debt and venture agreements to ensure compliance and covenants and terms; Calculating quarterly asset and equity valuations and preparing documentation; Assisting the investment team with transactions related activities such as exits/dispositions, major lease analysis and recapitalizations. xywuqvp Candidates MUST have: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related degree from a top tier University with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher; No more than 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate analysis; Advanced Excel skills, you must be able to create models from scratch (there is a test); Argus is a plus, but not necessary; Strong drive to succeed and work long hours in a team oriented, rewarding environment; Commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity; Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines with ease; Passion for commercial real estate and desire to grow with an exceptional team.
