JobID: 5766 Position Type: Operations Staff Date Posted: 9/12/2024 Location: Administration Building Closing Date: 09/22/2024 DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST Location: Communications Position: 12 Months 8 Hours Status: Non-Exempt, 10 Open Date: 9/12/2024 Closing Date: 9/22/2024 Starting Pay: $23.27 hour Essential Job Functions: The Digital Communications Specialist writes, edits and designs communications campaigns for Parkway School District; produces, designs and edits content for websites, intranet, social media and mobile applications; takes photos and produces videos; produces and designs print and digital publications; creates flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters; writes, edits and distributes communications; instructs and consults with district employees and staff on design, copy and content. The Digital Communications Specialist must have strong project management and computer skills, be extremely organized, and an innovative thinker with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or communications-related field 1-3+ years of recent writing, editing, and graphic design experience preferred Experience in web design, including proficiency with HTML, web content management and social media preferred Strong graphic design and layout skills that include proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Google products Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability with digital photography and video Ability to edit and produce digital and print content on deadline using AP style Strong organizational skills Proven track record managing multiple projects The Parkway School District is the leader in providing the BEST quality-of-life benefits in the St. Louis area.
