Job Title: Marine Electrician InstructorLocation: Fairhope, ALJob Type: Contract (2 Cohorts | Approximately 21-25 weeks total)Pay : $50.00/hourOverview:We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrician Instructor to deliver SIB-aligned electrical training focused on submarine modular construction. This contract role covers two consecutive cohorts (10 -12 weeks each, with one week between cohorts) and is ideal for a seasoned marine electrician passionate about mentoring the next generation or a former instructor ready to return to a structured teaching environment. The successful candidate will provide both classroom and hands-on instruction, guiding students through the electrical fundamentals and trade-specific skills required in naval shipbuilding, while instilling discipline, craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety.Key Responsibilities:Deliver structured instruction aligned with SIB (Submarine Industrial Base) electrical training standardsConduct classroom sessions and practical demonstrations in shop/lab settingsTrain apprentices in the installation and connection of wiring, power distribution systems, lighting, navigation, and communications equipment aboard vesselsInstruct students on electrical component setup in accordance with applicable safety standards and U.S. Navy or Coast Guard specificationsMentor and coach apprentices in both technical and soft skillsAdminister written and hands-on performance assessments in line with program and SIB standardsMaintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with program requirementsPromote and enforce safety protocols and organizational policiesProvide regular performance feedback to apprentices and program stakeholdersCollaborate with recruitment and workforce development teams Required Skills and Qualifications:10+ years of field experience in marine or industrial electrical work (shipyard, naval, or commercial sectors)Background in SIB-aligned or Navy-specification electrical work preferredDemonstrated knowledge of electrical system installation, inspection, and repair on naval or commercial vesselsFamiliarity with U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard electrical standards and specificationsStrong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsComfortable with basic digital tools (Microsoft Office, LMS platforms) Preferred Skills and Certifications:Prior formal instruction or adult training experienceOSHA 10 or 30 CertificationPrior teaching, mentorship, or adult learning experienceExperience collaborating with engineers, welders, and other tradesmen on shipbuilding projects Work Environment:Blend of classroom and hands-on shop settingsMay require extended periods of standing and physical demonstrationsPrimarily daytime hours, with some scheduling flexibility as needed Ameri-Force BenefitsAs part of the Ameri-Force team, a recognized ESOP company, you have a personal stake in the collective success of the organization, fostering a collaborative and rewarding work environment.
