Automotive Service Lane Manager *Second Shift*

Now Hiring: Second Shift Service Operations LeadSchedule: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PMWe are launching a dedicated second shift in our service department and are looking for the right person to lead the evening operation.This role is ideal for someone with service advisor experience, technician experience, dispatch experience, or shop leadership experience. The right candidate understands how a service department operates, can communicate clearly, and knows how to keep work moving.This position is the operational lead for the second shift. You will help control workflow, coordinate with technicians, update repair orders, manage day-to-night handoffs, communicate repair status, and make sure the shop is organized and productive before the next business day begins.This is not a traditional service advisor role and it is not a traditional shop foreman role. It is a leadership position designed for someone who understands both the front-end and back-end of fixed operations.Responsibilities include:Leading the second-shift service operation from 3 PM to 11 PMReviewing open repair orders and identifying what can be completed that eveningDispatching and prioritizing work based on technician skill, parts availability, promised times, and carryover needsCommunicating with day-shift advisors, managers, and techniciansUpdating repair order notes clearly and accuratelyMonitoring repair status, approvals, inspections, and carryover workSupporting technicians with workflow and repair directionCommunicating with customers when neededEnsuring completed work is properly documentedHelping maintain shop organization, key control, vehicle status, and end-of-night processesEscalating concerns to service leadership when neededThe ideal candidate will have:Automotive service experienceAdvisor, technician, dispatcher, or shop foreman background preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to make decisions and keep work movingTechnical understanding of vehicle repairs and service department workflowStrong follow-up and documentation habitsLeadership ability and accountabilityComfort working independently during evening hoursWhat we offer:Second-shift schedule: 3 PM to 11 PMLeadership opportunity in a growing service departmentStrong earning potentialOpportunity to help build a new shift from the ground upCareer growth within fixed operationsSupport from experienced service leadership
