HR Generalist
This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong compliance knowledge with a people-focused approach and can confidently manage payroll, employee relations, and core HR administration. The person in this role will work closely with local leadership to promote a positive workplace, guide employees through key lifecycle events, and help maintain consistent HR processes across the office.Responsibilities:• Administer payroll on a regular schedule, verifying accuracy and alignment with internal policies and applicable regulations.• Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including separations, required records, and compliance-related documentation tied to pay practices.• Monitor workplace safety obligations, maintain related records, and support reporting to help uphold regulatory standards.• Review and complete I-9 documentation audits to confirm proper employment authorization records are in place.• Collaborate with managers to resolve employee concerns, strengthen engagement, and encourage a supportive team environment.• Support onboarding and broader employee lifecycle activities, ensuring a smooth experience from onboarding through separation.• Assist with benefits and HR administrative processes while keeping employee information organized and current within HR systems.• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing within an HR environment.• Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws, compliance requirements, and employee documentation standards.• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and empathy.• Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-focused approach suited to a small office setting.• Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, and general HR administration.• Familiarity with HRIS platforms; exposure to Workday or a comparable system is preferred.• Experience working with contract or contingent workforce populations is an advantage.TalentMatch®Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
