The Material Handler is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Material Handler, under general supervision, performs a combination of the following tasks: the receiving and location of inventory, make transactions to show all inventory as received, and make recommendations of any inventory adjustments necessary.Core Competencies For This Position IncludeLearningPeople RelationsCommunicationPosition/Tech KnowledgeResults DrivenEssential Functions Of The JobFocus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetingsEnter inventory of purchased parts, manufactured parts, and returned goods into JDE once it is receivedComplete the receiving transaction in JDE for inventoryCheck and verify inventory problems or errorResearch differences between actual received and purchase ordered quantityInterpret pick sheets: match part numbers and quantities against the pick sheetList all inventory adjustmentsPick parts from the flow racksReceive and verify LTL deliveriesTransfer part quantities by use of a PDA scanner to the correct back flush locationSupport the transformer processRespond to request from employees and management to locate needed partsMaintain good housekeeping and safe area practicesAssist other employees with training and inventory issuesPerform all other duties assigned by SupervisorKnowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA’s)Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure, Protractor, etc)Basic math, reading and computer data skills neededMinimum dexterity required for use of hand and power toolAbility to operate forklift safelyAbility to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistanceMust be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassembliesMust have a valid Driver’s LicenseEducation And ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED required1+ months experience in material handling preferredEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
