We are a global leader, with hubs in North America, South America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.As a Training Developer / Content Creator / Instructional Designer, you will be crucial in developing comprehensive and engaging learning materials for our diverse products and software applications. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers, and other team members to design and create content that effectively educates our internal sales and channel teams. Trainers will utilize your content for live classes and in creating eLearning courses. Your expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, multimedia content creation, cognitive load, and technical communication will drive product and sales training.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver high-quality instructional materials, including participant workbooks, video tutorials, interactive eLearning modules, knowledge-based articles, and assessmentsCreate visually appealing and easily digestible multimedia content that effectively communicates complex technical and sales enablement concepts to diverse audiencesDevelop learning paths and curricula that cater to different user roles and proficiency levels, ensuring a tailored learning experienceUtilize a variety of tools and software for content creation, graphic design, video editing, and e-learning developmentCollaborate with subject matter experts and product managers to gather information and insights about our networking products, software applications, and industry trendsStay updated with the latest instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of our training materialsConduct regular assessments of the effectiveness of training materials and make continuous improvements based on feedback and analyticsParticipate in project planning and coordination, adhering to deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of contentStay updated with the latest instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of our training materials.Conduct regular assessments of the effectiveness of training materials and make continuous improvements based on feedback and analytics.Participate in project planning and coordination, adhering to deadlines and ensuring timely content delivery.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field5+ years of Sales Enablement or Revenue Enablement experience in instructional design and content creation in a corporate environment, preferably in a technical or IT-related industryProficiency in using multimedia and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline and Rise, Camtasia, etc.) – preferably advanced skills in Storyline animationExperience with LMS systems in building courses and gamificationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise mannerFluent in one or more video editing tools; experience editing videosCreative mindset with the ability to visualize concepts and transform them into engaging contentSuccessful implementation of designing and building branching coursesPersonal QualificationsYou’ll fit our team just right if you:Don’t mind a little chaos at times and can work through challenging projectsEnjoy a small team where we help each other, and all wear a variety of hatsParticipate in team discussions and, at times, receive and give feedbackBonus QualificationsWe are looking for someone with some or all of these special qualifications:Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD, from ATD)Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Adult Education or multimedia-related fieldExperience writing and building branching knowledge check questions in StorylineAn understanding of and experience with AI and various toolsCan also contribute by providing voice-over skills for eLearning OR good in front of the camera (not required, but would be a bonus)Extreme Networks, Inc.
