Lead Daycare Teacher

About the JobWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Daycare Teacher to join our nurturing early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for child development, and the ability to lead and mentor other staff members. The Lead Daycare Teacher will play a vital role in fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young learners while ensuring compliance with all safety and licensing standards. Duties:Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards. Supervise and engage children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods. Monitor children's behavior and apply effective behavior management techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment. Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and address any concerns. Lead and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety protocols. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records of incidents or concerns. Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or developmental delays. Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and nurturing interactions. Qualifications:Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles across infant, toddler, and preschool stages. Certifications in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus. Must be Lead Teacher Qualified.
