Electrical Engineer – Senior Design Release Engineer (eCall & Telematics Systems)We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the development and delivery of Emergency Call (eCall) and telematics-based vehicle safety systems. This customer-facing role will own end-to-end feature development, supplier management, system integration, validation, and regulatory compliance across the full vehicle lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn eCall/NG-eCall features including Automatic Crash Notification (ACN), SOS functionality, and Minimum Set of Data (MSD) transmissionLead system architecture, integration, and validation across telematics ECUs, RCM, GNSS, and connectivity modulesDefine crash-to-call workflows, communication interfaces, diagnostics, and fault management strategiesSupport and sustain legacy Restraint Control Module (RCM) systems and crash detection logicManage Tier 1 suppliers and drive issue resolution, feature maturity, and program executionEnsure compliance with automotive safety, telematics, and homologation standards including EN 15722, EN 16072, ECE R144, and ISO 26262Collaborate cross-functionally with connectivity, cybersecurity, diagnostics, UX/HMI, passive safety, and regulatory teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field5–10 years of experience in vehicle electrical systems, telematics, or automotive safety systemsStrong experience with full vehicle lifecycle developmentProven expertise in system ownership, supplier management, and technical leadershipExperience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, diagnostics, and system validationFamiliarity with eCall, crash notification systems, telematics integration, and automotive compliance standardsExperience with NG-eCall, PSAP testing, RCM/passive safety systems, ISO 26262, ASPICE, or automotive cybersecurityExperience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion
