This position involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic treatments while ensuring appropriate patient and family education. The therapist is expected to identify significant changes in a patient's condition and act accordingly, ensuring the highest standards of care.Key Responsibilities Perform and document thorough evaluations and patient assessments. Administer diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, assisting physicians as needed. Provide education and support to patients and their families based on individual needs. Monitor and document significant changes in patient conditions, proactively communicating with caregivers. Conduct pain assessments and take appropriate actions as per standard procedures. Complete all documentation, including order entry and patient safety reports, in compliance with organizational protocols. Oversee the transport of infants between referral health systems while delivering high-quality critical care. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of respiratory equipment. Perform additional duties as necessary to meet departmental needs.Qualifications Active Respiratory Therapist license from the relevant state board. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialized NICU setting is preferred.
