Job DescriptionSummary:This position seeks an experienced Analytics Engineer to design and implement data architecture for business intelligence and analytics reporting at Jefferson County, Colorado. The role requires expertise in Azure services, data pipelines, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver robust data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing the county's operational decision-making through advanced analytics.Position Info:Title: Business Intelligence Architect/DeveloperClient: Jefferson County (ITS - Innovation)Duration: 3 Months Contract role (With High Possibility of Extension)Location: 3500 Illinois St., Suite 2500, Golden, CO 80401Work Mode: HybridResponsibilities:Design and implement data modeling and architecture standards for advanced analytics and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to gather data requirements and deliver effective data models. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure services such as Data Factory and Synapse Analytics. Manage and optimize data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database and Blob Storage. Document data processes, architectures, and workflows, ensuring clarity and accessibility. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance optimization. Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a data analytics role using Microsoft technologies. Strong experience in data architecture within cloud environments (Azure preferred). Proficiency in Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, SQL, SQL Server, and DAX. Experience with Power BI or other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills:Experience with data lake or lakehouse development. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Python for analytics solutions. Microsoft Azure or Power BI certifications.
