With global manufacturing capabilities and a New York–based creative team, the organization blends trend‑driven design with advanced product development to deliver high‑quality, commercially successful assortments.Role OverviewThe Home Textile Designer supports the trend, design, and product development needs of the U.S., Canada, and Ecommerce markets. Working closely with design leadership, this role contributes to seasonal direction, creates original artwork, and develops customer‑specific assortments across multiple categories.Designers' own projects for assigned accounts, producing CADs, specs, and development packages that are accurate, production‑ready, and aligned with customer expectations. This position is both creative and technical, with opportunities to participate in showroom presentations and customer meetings.Key ResponsibilitiesTrend, Design & Creative ExecutionAssist in interpreting and executing trend, design, and creative direction for assigned customers and channels.Collaborate with design leadership and colleagues to support seasonal concepts and category strategy.Create conceptual, market‑appropriate original print, woven, and embellished designs.Produce original artwork through CAD, illustration, and hand‑painting/drawing.Product DevelopmentDesign and develop fashion bedding, sheets, utility bedding, soft home accessories, hospitality textiles, and beach towels, plus additional categories as assigned.Partner with internal teams to build constructions and patterns aligned to pricing and manufacturing criteria.Create accurate tech packs/specs in PLM based on design direction.Prepare complete development and production packages for overseas offices and vendors, including artwork files, color standards, and technical details.Production Readiness & Vendor CollaborationReview factory color, print, and fabric submits; provide clear feedback under guidance of design leadership.Ensure all artwork is production‑ready, including repeats, indexing, and color separations.Showroom & Customer EngagementAssist with showroom ideation, setup, and execution in partnership with Design and Marketing.Represent the Design team in customer and buyer meetings for assigned accounts.What You'll NeedBachelor’s degree in design or related field.Expert‑level design execution across fashion bedding, sheets, utility bedding, beach, and soft home accessories.4+ years of experience in textile, surface, or home product design.Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; strong CAD skills including repeats, indexing, and color separations.Ability to draw or paint as part of the design process.Strong understanding of textile construction, color, and print development.Experience with PLM systems preferred.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment with multiple deadlines.Work Environment & CultureThe company offers a workspace that blends creative focus with a grounded, real‑world rhythm.
