Senior Space Planning Coordinator

About The RoleIn this role you will execute and enhance space planning strategies to support merchandising, capacity optimization and in-store execution across Kohl's stores. This role will have a primary focus on planogram creation and optimization to maximize sales and customer experience while driving efficient use of inventory and space. As a senior team member, you will take on more complex categories, provide guidance to others, and act as a key partner in delivering high-quality space planning solutions.What You'll DoCreate, maintain and optimize planograms and floorplans in accordance with merchandise presentation standards and category strategies, including more complex or high-impact areasAnalyze reporting and run validation tools to ensure planogram accuracy, identify trends, and recommend improvements to merchandising and space productivityIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve planogram or floorplan issues prior to store communication, proactively addressing risks and escalationsOwn planogram timelines for assigned categories or initiatives, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery to business partners; quickly identify and resolve changes as neededManage multiple planogram cycles with strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization across competing deadlinesSupport line reviews, new product launches, departments resets, and mock store sets as neededProvide additional merchandising or operational support during peak periodsTake a proactive, solution oriented approach to business challengesSupport on-boarding and cross training of new team membersServe as a Subject Matter Expert for Space Planning systems, tools, and processes; act as a go-to resource for troubleshooting and questionsAdditional tasks may be assignedWhat Skills You HaveProficiency with space management and planogram software, including Blue Yonder Space and FloorplanningStrong understanding of space-to-sales analytics and data-driven merchandising decisionsProven experience building and maintaining planograms, including more complex categories or initiativesStrong organizational skills, high attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partnersDemonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetWillingness to travel occasionally to stores or mock store environmentsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, Analytics, or related fieldExperience in large-format or multi-unit retail environmentsExperience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or SketchUpAdvanced Excel skills (ex. pivot tables, data analysis)
