Collaborating with families and the community, the organization ensures a holistic approach to the well-being of students. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. The High School Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of high school students. Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing academic support services, mentoring students, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and community partners to enhance student outcomes. The coordinator will also track students' academic progress, provide counseling, and develop strategies for post-secondary success including college preparation, vocational training, and career exploration. Qualifications Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with students, families, and community partnersEducational and Instructional skills, with experience in teaching or leading academic programsProven expertise in Youth Development, with the ability to mentor and guide high school students both academically and sociallyEducational Leadership and management capabilities, including overseeing youth programs and initiativesExperience in Training, with the ability to conduct workshops and provide guidance to support student developmentBachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)Passion for working with youth and creating positive outcomesPrior experience in community or school-based programs is a plusUnderstanding of post-secondary pathways, such as college preparation and vocational training
