Responsibilities
Perform entry‑level administrative support work following specific instructions.
Answer telephone calls, evaluate requests, and route messages, serving as receptionist or front desk assistant.
Assist in maintaining confidential information and records.
Assist in inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Assist in processing routine documents such as vouchers, personnel records, titles or registrations.
Perform general warehousing duties such as stocking, issuing materials, and maintaining records.
Disseminate information to the public.
Maintain files, records, and logs.
Maintain radio contact with field units and others.
Make copies and distribute as instructed.
Open, sort, and distribute mail.
Conduct preliminary research and gather pertinent data for assignments.
Perform routine word processing duties and conduct quality checks of documents created.
Run errands as required.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Must be a student in high school or another educational institution, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution.
Other Conditions
Must be at least 16 years of age and a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education, including trade/vocational schools.
Employees at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes.
Light work: lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
Repetitive Motion: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
