Multiple Parent Navigator Positions Available Locations: Harlem, Bronx and ManhattanStart Date: ImmediatePosition OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resourceful Parent Navigator to serve as a vital link between families, schools, and community-based supports. In this role, the Parent Navigator will empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and guidance needed to effectively advocate for their children’s academic, social, and emotional success.This position plays a critical role in supporting at-risk students with special needs by fostering strong family engagement, connecting families to essential resources, and ensuring they feel informed, confident, and supported throughout their child’s educational journey.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for families, providing guidance on school processes, programs, and servicesSupport parents in understanding educational systems, including special education, intervention services, and student support programsFacilitate communication between families, school staff, and external service providersConnect families to community-based resources (healthcare, housing, counseling, etc.)Organize and lead parent workshops, trainings, and engagement eventsAssist families in navigating challenges related to attendance, behavior, and academic progressMaintain accurate documentation of family interactions and services providedAdvocate for equitable access to resources and services for all familiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Experience working with families, schools, or community organizationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build trust and maintain confidentialityCultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populationsBilingual skills preferred (if applicable)Strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred SkillsKnowledge of special education processes and student support servicesExperience facilitating workshops or group sessionsFamiliarity with local community resources and support networksWhy Join UsOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on students and familiesCollaborative and mission-driven work environmentHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role to: Royce McGee at hrfactsed@factmgt.com
