Line Cook/Prep (Japanese Restaurant)
Overview
Here at WAKABA (Izakaya & Sushi), we are looking for a part time/full time Line Cook to join our team for BOTH LUNCH and DINNER SERVICE.
Our soon to be business hours will be :
Monday to Sunday Lunch : 11:30am to 2:30pm
Sunday to Thursday Dinner : 5:00pm to 9:30pm
Friday and Saturday Dinner : 5:00pm to 10:00pm
Shifts will start at 10:00am for lunch and at 4:30pm for dinner service.
This position is a tipped position.
What you’ll do
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
Experience in Japanese Cuisine is a must. (minimum 2 years)
Experience as a Line Cook is a must. (minimum 2 years)
Mid to advance level of knife skills, deep frying and pan frying, sautéing, grilling, etc.
Previous restaurant experience that highlights your ability to work under pressure.
