Job DescriptionIntegrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: OncologyDiscipline: RNDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelRequired: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below                Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel                Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed Job SummaryUnder general supervision, provides nursing care to patients with varying health conditions, ranging from simple to complex, in an oncology clinic setting.ResponsibilitiesManage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.Monitor and obtain physiological data, observing patient manifestations and intervening as necessary.Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans with patients and families.Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and discharge plans.Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.Basic computer skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.QUALIFICATION/LICENSUREWork Authorization : US CitizenPreferred years of experience : 2 yearsTravel required : No travel requiredShift timings : DaysRightSourcing IHS Job ID #37292357.
