This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For moreinformation, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13551215**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**Maintain and ensure application of current NDT standards, includingNAS-410, SNT-TC-1A, ASTM methods, and applicable OEM specifications.Develop, maintain, and administer the companys NDT Written Practice,including certification requirements, training programs, andrecertification processes.Serve as the technical authority for assigned NDT methods, includingmethod selection, technique development, and approval of procedures.Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, specifications,standards, planning documents, and contractual requirements to determineappropriate NDT methods, inspection sequences, and acceptance criteriafor ferrous and non-ferrous materials, components, and weldments.Ensure full compliance with customer, industry, and governmentregulations governing nondestructive inspection activities.Develop, review, and approve NDT work instructions and procedures inaccordance with customer specifications, OEM requirements, and internalquality standards.Verify proper setup, calibration, and operation of NDT equipment used toinspect internal structures of metallic materials; interpret testresults, readouts, and recordings to determine product acceptability.Oversee the setup and use of surface-inspection equipmentQualificationsincluding Borescopes, Black Lights, And Precisionmeasurement instrumentsto ensure accurate system performance checks anddetection of discontinuities.Analyze, interpret, and evaluate parts, assemblies, and weldments forconformance to applicable specifications and standards; develop andrefine inspection techniques as needed.Ensure proper documentation, retention, and traceability of NDT records,reports, and certificationsTrain, examine, and certify NDT Level I, II, and III personnel inaccordance with NAS 410, Valence Qualification requirements, OEMprocedures, and applicable industry standards.Evaluate, approve, and periodically audit external NDT service providersto ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirementsProvide expert technical guidance to management, engineering, sales,customers, suppliers, and auditors on NDT processes, materials,inspection requirements, and compliance matters.Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives by conductingproduct, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigatingcustomer concerns; and collaborating with cross-functional teams toenhance processes.Identify emerging NDT technologies and lead initiatives to enhanceinspection capability and organizational competitiveness. Assist in thedevelopment and qualification of new technologies, inspection methods,and procedures to support new approvals and evolving customer needs.Maintain compliance with Nadcap & Customer requirements, includingpreparation for audits, corrective actions, and ongoing programoversight. Acting as the primary NDT technical representative duringcustomer, OEM, and regulatory auditsDevelop, optimize, and streamline inspection programs to improveefficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall process capability.Perform calibration and execution of nondestructive tests to verifyproduct integrity and ensure adherence to quality standards.Establish, approve and validate inspection techniques that ensureaccurate and reliable examination results while maintaining strictadherence to safety protocols.Conduct magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, and contrast dyepenetrant inspections, including evaluation of hidden ordifficult-to-access surfaces.Apply advanced problem-solving and quality-improvement methodologies,including preventive and corrective action tools, management andplanning tools, and barrier-removal strategies.Collect, analyze, and interpret data using appropriate quantitativemethods to support business decisions, risk mitigation, and continuousimprovement initiatives.Contribute to quality assurance objectives by supporting strategicplanning, developing and executing action plans, implementing qualityand productivity standards, resolving issues, and driving systemimprovements.Develop comprehensive quality assurance plans through risk analyses,identification of critical control points, establishment of preventivemeasures and critical limits, and implementation of monitoring andverification procedures.Validate quality processes by defining product specifications and a
