We’re looking for an experienced Controller to join our growing client and play a critical leadership role in driving financial excellence across our manufacturing and distribution operations.Reporting directly to the CFO, this is more than a traditional accounting role. It’s an opportunity to build stronger processes, improve visibility into performance, and help scale a growing business with confidence.What you’ll do:Lead the month-end, quarterly, and year-end closeDeliver GAAP-compliant financial reporting and KPI-driven business insightsSupport budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and audit readinessOversee governance and performance of our India-based shared services accounting teamDrive inventory accounting, cost analysis, and margin improvement initiativesPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and executive leadershipHelp optimize ERP systems and automate processes for scaleManage 3 local direct reports (Accounting Manager, Payroll, and Accounts Payable) as well as team of 10 in India where Assistant Controller resides. What success looks like:(In your first 180 days, success means:)A streamlined, accurate close process that consistently hits deadlinesA strong operating rhythm with the India shared services team, including clear SLAs, accountability, and fewer aging reconciling itemsInventory and costing data that Operations trusts as the single source of truthAudit-ready controls and documentation that support growth and scalabilityWhat we’re looking for:CPA required7+ years of progressive accounting experience2+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller roleStrong background in mid-size manufacturing and/or distribution is requiredExperience in PE is ideal but need someone who can dive in - no project too big or smallExpertise in inventory, cost accounting, and variance analysisAdvanced Excel skills and ERP optimization experienceWhy this role is exciting:This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who wants to go beyond the numbers and be a true business partner.
